DBF
Phase - 3 English is part of DBF Gurgaon churches, which comes under a larger network of congregations in the NCR called Delhi Bible Fellowship. Delhi Bible Fellowship started in 1968 in Delhi in the living room of Rev. Murray Carter with a handful of people. Since then the church has grown to more than twenty congregations (and counting!) all over the National Capital Region and has been a faithful witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ over the past 45 years.
DBF Gurgaon
DBF Gurgaon started through the pioneering vision of Pastor Thayil John, who saw the need and potential for a solid Bible-teaching church in the fast-growing city of Gurgaon. He began services for what would become DBF Gurgaon in 1999 at the office of India Campus Crusade for Christ in New Palam Vihar. After three months we moved to the HUDA Gymkhana Club in Sector-29, and met there for the next eight years.
Phase - 3 English
In 2003, DBF Gurgaon was officially allotted land in DLF Phase-3 for the construction of a church building. This was the first time in the history of Haryana that a Christian group had been given land by the government. In 2006 we started meeting in the basement while the rest of the building was still being constructed. We officially inaugurated the building in 2008, and thereafter started meeting in the main hall of the building.
In 2011 we began weekly services in Hindi, which over time evolved into Yesu Naam Satsang which takes place every Sunday evening. In 2017 we started a bilingual Hindi/English church in Sector-14, and in 2019 we started a Hinglish church called LIFE church which takes place every alternate Saturday. Our plan is to plant 20 years by the year 2035.
It has also been a joy to add full-time pastors to our church staff team. In 2013 we installed Pastor Joy Gill to lead the Hindi ministry of our church. Pastor Blesswin Victor joined our church full-time in 2015, and Pastor Gladwin Joseph came on board in 2017.
Over the years our church has grown and changed a lot, but our core mission of knowing Jesus and making Him known has remained the same. The story of our church is truly a story of God’s faithfulness. We look forward to what He has for us in the future!
